About us

SONFISHERS is an outreach ministry of Calvary Chapel Merritt Island that provides FREE Sportfishing and Archery Instruction for kids, youth, and adults. 

Recreational Classes, Competitive Clubs, Tournaments – Includes Equipment.  We share the Gospel and use Biblical principles to mentor at-risk kids and families in our local community. All kids are at risk, but GOD, through His mercy and grace, uses SONFISHERS to engage individuals in outdoor activities that help abate destructive behaviors.

SONFISHERS is a 2021 Florida Youth Conservation Center Network Outstanding Partner and a BlueFuture™ two time grant program – National Award winner. Our programs are open to all schools and students. Volunteers complete background checks, and either hold certifications and/or are experienced instructors.
